The lights will be on red flash until they are repaired.
The traffic signals at the intersection of Clayton and Skinker are on red flash, slowing traffic in the area. An accident damaged the lights and St. Louis Street Department crews are working to repair the lights. The event will be held today in Clayton.
Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, is hosting an Earth Day forum today at Clayton High School. The "Earth Day Forum" will feature lawmakers, environmentalists, and officials from the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon. It is free and open to the public. Chappelle-Nadal said in her Patch blog that her goal is "to continue the conversation within our communities and throughout the world about how important it is for us to be good stewards of our environment."

The crash began in North St. Louis and ended with a crash at Skinker and Forest Park Parkway.
Two men have been charged following a police chase that ended in a crash Wednesday on Skinker Blvd, tying up rush hour traffic. Quoting from the KSDK story: The two suspects were caught Wednesday after a police pursuit ended in a crash. The pursuit started around 3 p.m. Wednesday at Benton and N. Commuters can expect traffic delays near Forest Park and Skinker after a police pursuit ended in the area. According to Fox 2, two suspects are in custody after the pursuit ended in a crash. The pursuit started around 3 p.m. Wednesday at Benton and N. Jefferson, Fox 2 reports, and ended at Forest Park and Skinker. During the pursuit, a patrol car was involved in an accident with a vehicle. Two of the occupants in that vehicle suffered injuries. There is no information yet on the extent of their injuries. The $80 million project will create new living and retail space in the Delmar Loop.
Washington University in St. Louis this week obtained final approval for the school’s $80 million student apartment and retail project in the Delmar Loop in University City and the city of St. Louis. The roughly 14-month construction phase is expected to begin next week as the project moves from plan to action. One person is trapped after the accident near the intersection of Clayton Road and Skinker Blvd.
Fox 2 News is reporting that a person is trapped in their car following an accident near the intersection of Skinker and Clayton in St. Louis. According to Fox 2, emergency crews are at the scene and are working on removing the crash victim from the vehicle. The crash site is near the giant Amaco sign by Forest Park and is snarling traffic for those heading into Clayton and University City.
