Big Award for Clayton High's News Magazine

The Clayton High School publication is one of only four newsmagazine winners in the United States to win the National Scholastic Press Association's Pacemaker Award.

The 2011-12 Globe Newsmagazine has received the National Scholastic Press Association’s prestigious Pacemaker Award. The Globe Newsmagazine is one of only four publications in the country to receive the award in the Newsmagazine category.   "I am fortunate to work with a wonderful group of students," said Clayton High School Journalism Teacher Erin Castellano. "I am very glad to see their hard and excellent work rewarded at the national level. They certainly deserve it."  The 322 entries in this year’s Newspaper Pacemaker contest were judged based on several criteria: coverage and content, quality of writing and reporting, leadership on the opinion page, evidence of in-depth reporting, layout and design, and photography, art and graphics…
