Clayton Student Named Finalist in Teen Talent Competition

On Saturday, March 2,  37 metro area high schools acts continued their journey toward college scholarships, prizes and performance opportunities by competing in the Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition Semi-finals.  Performing arts professionals judged the groups and narrowed the acts to 12 who will move on to the finals at 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, at The Fabulous Fox Theatre  A Clayton High School student—singer Phylissa Milam—advanced to the next round. They are: This year, 155 acts—30 percent more than last year—registered to compete.  In early February the competition process began with a two-day preliminary round held at three locations. Clayton Students Advance in Teen Talent Competition

The third Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition moves on to its semi-final round Saturday, March 2, when 37 high school acts take the stage to select finalists who will compete at The Fabulous Fox on Friday, April 12 (a complete list of students/schools can be found here).  Two Clayton High School students advanced to the next round. Clayton's Rada Lowery Advances in Talent Competition

The Clayton High School student made it to the semifinals in the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Competition.

A Clayton performer is advancing to the semifinal round of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition. The talented teen is Rada Lowery, a Clayton High School student who is a singer and pianist. Last weekend’s preliminary competition narrowed the field from more than 100 acts to just 32. Winners will earn thousands of dollars in scholarships, and universities and organizations such as Lindenwood University and The Muny also are offering scholarships and prizes. The semifinals will happen March 31. The final 12 acts will perform April 27 at the Fox Theatre.
