How Does Clayton's Enterprise Holdings' Size Compare to Other Private Companies?

Forbes released its list of top private American companies. Enterprise Holdings in Clayton is among the largest.

Enterprise Holdings, North America's largest car rental company, is also one of the largest private companies in the United States.  The Clayton-based company is the 20th largest private American company, according to a ranking from Forbes that was reported by the St. Louis Business Journal on Wednesday: Enterprise Holdings ranked No. 20 this year on Forbes' list with 2012 revenue of $13.5 billion and more than 74,000 employees companywide. Enterprise ranked No. 15 on the Forbes list last year and topped the Business Journal's Top 150 Privately-Held Companies list this year. Galleria's Microsoft Store Announces Opening Day

The holiday business is one of more than two dozen others opening around the U.S., the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

The seasonal Microsoft store at the Saint Louis Galleria will open for the first time Oct. 26, the St. Louis Business Journal reported. Clayton Executive Pam Nicholson Among Most Powerful Business Women

The president and chief operating officer for Enterprise Holdings received recognition from Fortune magazine, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

President Pam Nicholson of Clayton-based Enterprise Holdings has been named among the most powerful women in business by Fortune magazine, the St. Louis Business Journal reported. Nicholson, who also is chief operating officer, attained a ranking of No. 30 out of 50. iPhone 5 Creates Stir at Saint Louis Galleria

People from throughout the St. Louis area visited the Richmond Heights mall to get their hands on Apple's latest device, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

About 150 people stood in line recently to get the new Apple iPhone 5 at the Saint Louis Galleria in Richmond Heights, the St. Louis Business Journal reported. The Missouri Division of Finance closed that branch and three others in St. Louis on Friday, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

Truman Bank in Clayton and three other branches have been closed by the Missouri Division of Finance, the St. Louis Business Journal reported. Simmons First National Bank has opened in its place. Jobs Available at Cheshire Restaurant in Richmond Heights

A hiring fair to fill the 100 positions runs through Wednesday afternoon, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

The restaurant at The Cheshire hotel in Richmond Heights will hold a jobs fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, the St. Louis Business Journal reported. Sunrise on Clayton is one of 20 living communities that Health Care REIT Inc. will now own, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.
