Clayton Transfer Students' MAP Scores Reveal Successes

More information is now available about the 2011 test scores of African-American students who transfer to St. Louis County schools, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

African-American transfer students studying in school districts such as Clayton generally performed better on the 2011 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test than students at some other St. Louis County schools, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Quoting from the Post-Dispatch article: "Magnet schools and the voluntary desegregation program were created in the 1980s to address segregation in St. Louis Public Schools and to settle a federal lawsuit.
