Mark Keeley is battling Stage 4 Cancer.
The Richmond Heights Fire Department and Responder Rescue is asking the community to help them help a fellow firefighter. The organization is holding a benefit barbecue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Deer Creek Park. The barbecue is to raise money for former Richmond Heights paramedic Mark Keeley, who is battling Stage-4 cancer. Keeley, who now works for the North Crawford County Ambulance District, has been unable to work since last September and his insurance has denied his latest cancer treatment, according to a press release from the City of Richmond Heights. Keeley was a member of the Richmond Heights Fire Department from 2000 to 2005. He came to Richmond Height Children’s Hospital where he worked on the Transport Team. …
