Richmond Heights is 100 years old in 2013, and is celebrating with 12 months of activities. A 16-page booklet includes some history of Richmond Heights, and details all the events througout the year. From the history of Richmond Heights: By 1913, the first section of the City was incorporated. Six more annexations completed the current configuration of Richmond Heights by 1928. It was strictly a residential city though businesses eventually were allowed and began to flourish. The population grew during the 1920s and as a result, public services in the City expanded.
