The forthcoming restaurant Five Star Burgers received a liquor license Tuesday at a meeting of the Clayton Board of Aldermen. In response to a question from Ward 3 Alderman Alex Berger III, owner Steve Gontram said the business' hours will generally be the same as those of neighboring restaurants such as Almonds. Five Star Burgers will be open seven days a week and will close by 10 p.m. from Monday through Friday. It's possibly the facility will stay open a bit later on the weekends. "I am not looking to have late nights," Gontram said. He said the focus of the site will be food, not alcohol. He expects about 15 percent of sales will be for alcohol. The restaurant is expected to open in early August. More about Five Star Burgers on Patch:
