The Galleria store burglary occurred early on a Monday morning.
A Buckle store employee has been questioned, though not warranted, in an apparent theft of $14,000 from the store safe on Feb. 11 at about 7:20 a.m Det. Sgt. Jerry Rohr said the Richmond Heights Police Department is calling it a burglary. "A person entered the store during off hours, and entered the safe, and basically took the weekend’s cash receipts," he said. Rohr said the investigation is ongoing.

An employee at Hollister also was arrested on suspicion of stealing $700 from the cash register, Richmond Heights Police say.

I work at a mall retail store and we have to go to the bank everyday and drop off the previous night's deposit for this very reason. I blame this theft on the management team (aside from the obvious that at least one of them stole that money), deposit drops are a mandatory policy for all mall stores, especially more expensive ones such as The Buckle.
