A woman is reporting a robbery and abduction attempt Tuesday at Washington University. The 23-year-old female student reported being approached in the Snow Way garage at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Washington University sent out a crime alert to students Wednesday morning. Quoting from the alert: At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday night, a 23-year old student reports she was approached by a suspect as she entered her vehicle in the Snow Way Garage on the north side of Washington University’s Danforth Campus. The man suspected of robbing a Clayton bank last month may have also robbed a bank Wednesday in Webster Groves, officials said. Authorities have dubbed him the Same-Coat Bandit. The suspect may be responsible for Wednesday's robbery at the Webster Groves branch of Reliance Bank, 8083 Watson Rd. The man suspected of robbing the Reliance branch at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday is described as white, having a thin to medium build and in his 20s. He wore a tan hooded jacket and did not display a weapon. Dark material covered part of his face. A man robbed Enterprise Bank & Trust on Wednesday afternoon in Clayton, police stated in a news release. At about 3:40 p.m., the man entered the bank at 150 N. Meramec Ave., approached two tellers and demanded money, the Clayton Police Department stated. He did not indicate that he had a weapon, and he left after receiving an undisclosed sum. He is described as a white man who wore a gray ski mask and a light-colored scarf; a tan hooded coat; black gloves; and light blue jeans, Clayton police and the website BanditTrackerStLouis.com stated. CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a felony arrest in the case. Tips must be submitted to CrimeStoppers and may be made by calling 866-371-TIPS.
