Ohlsen Sentenced to 20 Years for Clayton Bombing

Milton "Skip" Ohlsen III pleaded guilty to the 2008 bombing of the Carondelet Plaza garage

Milton "Skip" Ohlsen, III, 41, was sentenced to 20 years in prison Wednesday for the 2008 bombing in a Clayton parking garage, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday. The former Town and Country resident was indicted in 2011 for the 2008 bombing in the Carondelet Plaza garage in Clayton that injured Clayton attorney John L. Gillis. In September, 2012, Ohlsen pleaded guilty to four counts involving the bombing that injured the attorney who was not the intended target. Investigators believe Ohlsen was trying to target his ex-wife's attorney instead. The U.S Attorney's Office released the following details about the case in a news release Wednesday. Bally Total Fitness in Mid-County Will Be Sold

The University City location near Clayton will come under ownership of Blast Fitness Group, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

The Bally Total Fitness gym on Forsyth Boulevard will be sold to another company, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday. The gym is located in University City just east of Clayton's Carondelet Plaza. Quoting from the Post-Dispatch article: "Chicago-based Bally Total Fitness Holding Corp. announced today that it is selling 39 gyms for an undisclosed amount to an affiliate of Blast Fitness Group LLC, a chain of fitness clubs based in Massachusetts."
