Mother Charged with Beating 7-Year-Old with Chair Leg
The woman "inflicted cruel and inhuman punishment" upon the child, charges from the prosecuting attorney's office state.
A woman repeatedly struck a 7-year-old child with a wooden chair leg, causing an injury, the Richmond Heights Police Department stated in a report. Randi Davis, 28, of the 7300 block of Dale Avenue in Richmond Heights was charged Thursday in St. Louis County Circuit Court with child abuse. Davis is suspected of having “inflicted cruel and inhuman punishment” upon her child on April 26 at their home, charges from the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office office state. The incident was reported after teachers found bruising on the child. Four children were moved to a foster home after the incident. Bond for Davis was set at $25,000.
