Artifacts Sought to Honor Clayton's Centennial
The Clayton History Society is asking donors to contribute funds and memorabilia in honor of the centennial in 2013.
What do items such as a 1911 high school diploma, a bar token from the Autenrieth Hotel and World War II-era photographs have in common? These and other artifacts will appear in a museum created by the Clayton History Society when Clayton celebrates its centennial in 2013. "We've acquired a lot of things just digging through City Hall. We also received yearbooks from Clayton High," said Cheryl Verde, a founding board member of the Clayton History Society who maintains the growing collection.
