The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
A community discussion of Hadley Township's future is scheduled Tuesday in Richmond Heights. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at The Heights community center. It will be followed by a regular City Council meeting at 7:30. Hadley Township's prime location near the Highway 40-Hanley Road interchange has made it a focus of developers, according to a Hadley Township Neighborhood Assessment published in 2003. It is bordered by Dale Avenue to the north and West Bruno Avenue to the south; and by Hanley Road to the west and Laclede Station Road to the east. Several developers have expressed interest in buying out property owners in the past, only to fail to follow through in the end. Most recently, the city's relationship with developer United …

Amy Hamilton spoke as part of a meeting that included officials from Richmond Heights, Maplewood and the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District.
Several infrastructure upgrades are among the items Richmond Heights will address in the near future, City Manager Amy Hamilton said Thursday. She spoke during a joint meeting of officials from Richmond Heights, Maplewood and the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District. The event, held in the MRH High School library, featured a dinner and presentations from Hamilton, Maplewood City Manager Marty Corcoran and the district's superintendent, Linda Henke. The bridge over Laclede Station Road near West Rankin Drive will be replaced this spring, Hamilton said. The present structure doesn't meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which the new bridge will correct. The new bridge will resemble the one on Dale Avenue near …

Friends of the City of Richmond Heights board member Amy Hamilton sat down with Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch this week to answer questions about the group and its plans for 2011. Hamilton is also Richmond Heights' city manager. How did the Friends of the City of Richmond Heights get started? Hamilton: The city had a beautification commission, and before there was any Parks and Recreation Department, they would give input as to what kind of flowers the city should plant at islands. Then the city established a parks and recreation department. That's when Teresa Proebsting was hired here and we began working on what is today The Heights. The beautification commission did get with The Heights. They got more into the arts, and they brought …

All 107 rooms in the Richmond Heights hotel are expected to receive $101,000 each in upgrades.
A preliminary funding agreement aimed at paving the way for upgrades to a hotel expected to generate $98 million in revenue over a 20-year period received the approval of Richmond Heights City Council on Jan. 4. "It is a Main and Main project and will help the whole city," Mayor James Beck said before the council's vote. Cheshire Lodge, 6300 Clayton Rd., is expected to open to guests in August and will feature 107 rooms that are to include canopied beds, showers, framed pictures and 37-inch high-definition TVs, said Craig Cobler, senior vice president of development for Lodging Hospitality Management, the company overseeing the project. He gave City Council an overview of the project at its regular meeting Jan. 4. The rehabilitated site is…

Amy Lorenz-Moser, a product liability attorney for Armstrong Teasdale, in Clayton, has been named the 2010 Lawyer of the Year by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. She took time Dec. 29 to speak with Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch about the pro-bono work for which she won the award. How did she find out about the award? She didn't learn about the award right away. Lorenz-Moser said that when a representative of the publication attempted to contact her, she wasn't available because she was working at a jail. Lorenz-Moser later called the editor and learned of the accomplishment. "I was absolutely shocked," Lorenz-Moser said. What path did she take to get to Armstrong Teasdale? Lorenz-Moser graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law…
