Cab Driver Charged With Using Clayton Woman's Debit Card
The woman left her debit card and iPhone in a cab after a ride home from the airport, police said.
After a Clayton woman took a cab ride home from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, her debit card and iPhone took a longer detour. The woman arrived at her home in Clayton at 3:30 a.m. May 19 and paid her fare with her debit card. When she awoke the next morning, she discovered her debit card and iPhone were missing. An online check revealed three $200 withdrawals shortly after she was dropped off at home. Cab driver Jerron Payne, of the 2000 block of Tyus Court in the City of St. Louis, was charged Sept. 24 with one count each of felony stealing and misdemeanor stealing.
