Robert Kerr's Service to Clayton Earns Him 'Person of the Year' Recognition
Kerr lives and works in Clayton, and serves as president of the Clayton Education Foundation and Clayton Recreation Sports and Wellness Commission.
Working to solve challenges for students and educators in Clayton is more than a volunteer activity for lifelong resident Robert Kerr. For Kerr, a commitment to the community he grew up in is simply part of his responsibility. "I don't think it's right to sit on the sidelines and complain about something," said Kerr, who served as a director on the Clayton Board of Education between 2007-10. "I wanted to do everything I could to help maintain the quality of the schools." Kerr's community service gained him the recognition as the 2012 Clayton Person of the Year on Patch.
