The Metropolitan Zoological Park & Museum District is one of the  county's largest tax-supported culturalMore districts with tax revenue coming from county and city taxpayers. It's been established since 1972 and its annual tax revenue has increased from $3.9 million in 1972 to more than $72 million in 2009.  The District consists of five subdistricts including the St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Louis Science Center and Missouri History Museum.

The Lawrence K. Roos Government Building is home to a number of St. Louis county offices, including the countyMore executive. It is located next to the county Courts Building.

Offices work on different schedules, so visitors should call ahead using the phone number in this listing to get the hours of operation for a specific location. The line is staffed 40 hours a week, and callers are always put in touch with a person who can help answer questions.
