Man Fleeing Clayton Police Runs into County Police Building

The man was apprehended behind the St. Louis County Police Chief's desk.

A man running from Clayton Police Wednesday thought he could escape by running into a building—unfortunately that building was the St. Louis County Police Headquarters. St. Louis County Lt. Bryan Ludwig and media relations Officer Randy Vaughn told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch they were discussing a contract in Ludwig's office around 2 p.m. when Ludwig saw a man running in the hallway toward the office area he shares with Chief Tim Fitch and other administrative aides.  The man, Joseph H. Meacham, 39, ran into to the chief's office and into a hallway. Ludwig told the Post that Meacham "was curled up in a ball when they found him." Clayton Police had pulled Meacham over for a traffic violation in the 7800 block of Forsyth Wednesday afternoon…

Didn’t Get True Religion: Inmate Charged With Stealing Clothes, Police Say

Frontenac Police said Robert A. Floyd and others stole 27 pair of True Religion jeans and five pair of True Religion shorts, valued at a total of $7,689.

A Florissant man currently in prison for stealing is accused of stealing True Religion jeans and shorts from Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac. Robert A. Floyd, 23, of the 2900 block of Aberdeen Drive in Florissant, was charged Friday with felony stealing. Frontenac Police said Floyd, acting with others, stole 27 pair of True Religion jeans and five pair of True Religion shorts Sept. 16 from Saks Fifth Avenue at Plaza Frontenac. The clothing was valued at a total of $7,689. Police said a security officer saw Floyd and others on video stealing and driving away from the store. The security officer identified Floyd in a photo lineup. Floyd was sentenced to three years in prison March 14 after pleading guilty to a stealing charge in …

St. Louis County Most Wanted

The list of St. Louis County Police Department's Most Wanted fugitives.

The St. Louis County Police Department regularly maintains a list of its most wanted fugitives. The list is updated as fugitives are apprehended. It currently includes suspects wanted for child kidnapping, domestic assault, armed criminal action, rape, robbery and abuse of a child.   Among them is Deshawn A. Brown, pictured here. He is wanted on a charge of abuse of a child. His last known address is in St. Louis. Man Who Rode Home From Jail in Stolen Golf Cart Fails to Show in Court

An arrest warrant has been issued for Richard Blome, who police said stole a golf cart and drove it 12 miles to his South County home.

A man accused of stealing a Center of Clayton golf cart for a ride home from jail is wanted once again. St. Louis County Associate Circuit Court Judge Mary Bruntrager Schroeder issued a warrant for Richard Blome’s arrest May 14 after he failed to appear for a court date April 18. Once Blome is in custody, the judge ordered him to be held without bond.  Blome was charged in August with stealing a motor vehicle. St. Louis County Police said that Blome, 28, stole a Yamaha golf cart June 15 from the Center of Clayton at 50 Gay Avenue. Blome then lived in the 100 block of East Cartwright Avenue in the Lemay area of South County. The cart was found parked at a neighbor’s house. Police said Blome had been released from the St. Louis County …
