Iron Tribe Fitness Works Out To Benefit Local Youth with Brain Tumor

Members of Iron Tribe Fitness St. Louis will gather at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1 at Iron Tribe Fitness, 1336 Strassner Drive, St. Louis, 63144; to perform a Workout of the Day for Alex to benefit Alex Kuehn. Alex is a fun-loving 13-year old boy who has a rare brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) located in the pons (middle) of the brain stem. Alex has been given a 5-20% chance of survival. Anyone who would like to help raise funds to support Alex is welcome to attend.

When Iron Tribe Fitness St. Louis learned about Alex’s rare form of brain cancer, they wanted to get involved and help Alex and his family any way they could. They have created a workout named in honor of Alex for the sole purpose of helping to raise money to go toward Alex’s treatment. The treatment has given the family hope…and Iron Tribe wants to fuel that hope and peace of mind letting the Kuehn family know that they are behind them.

Workout of the Day for Alex will consist of a ten minute warm up, a workout named for Alex, and then a cool down period and some flexibility work. The entire workout will last about 45 minutes. Cost is $20 per person to participate in the workout.  All funds raised will be donated to his care.  For more information, contact Steve Baum at 314/265-3503 or email: sbaum@IRONTRIBEFITNESS.COM.
