SummerQuest

Type of Camp: SummerQuest unites outstanding programs and state-of-the-art facilities to provide a fun-filled summer camp experience. With an awesome selection of activities and sports, SummerQuest has revolutionized the traditional day camp experience and promises six weeks of fun! The fields and courts of Shaw Park, the fabulous air-conditioned facilities at the Center of Clayton and the new and renovated art, music, science labs and theater facilities at Clayton High School are three good reasons to call SummerQuest St. Louis’ best day camp.

Dates: SummerQuest runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. There are three sessions for students entering Kindergarten through sixth grade. Session I is from June 10-21, session II is from June 24-July 5 and session III is from July 8-19. SummerQuest for students entering seventh or eighth grade is from July 8-19.

Cost: Entering Kindergarteners - $435 per session. First through Sixth Grade - $415 per session. Seventh through Eighth Grade - $450 per session. Before care is available for $80 per session and after care is available for $140 per session.

Yoga Camp

Type of Camp: Mind-body exercise

Yoga camp will incorporate the use of music, literature, crafts, and games to teach children the joy of an asana (physical posture) yoga practice. Thsi camp fosters self-awareness, kindess to others, cooperatve learning, and just plain fun! Instructor is Bethany Begosian, Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and elementary school teacher. Bethany has a specialty certification in the Yoga to Grow children's yoga program.

Offered by The Fencers' Academy, this camp is geared towards athletes with little or no experience in fencing, while still challenging the experienced participant. Fencing is a sport that develops athleticism, critical thinking, sportsmanship, and competitiveness, while providing kids with a dynamic and creative outlet for their energies. Its intensity and fast pace will keep them coming back for more! Coach Hossam, former coach of the Olympic National team has trained many international ranked fencers. He is joined by Coach Nehal Hassan and Coach Phillip Ferko, who are the highest-ranked saber and epee fencers in St. Louis. A tournament will be held at the end of camp. Medals, t-shirts, and certificates are all included in the cost of camp.

Abra-Kid-Abra Magic Camp: Mind Reading & Other Cool Tricks Ages 6-12 Mind read the word a spectator is thinking of! Vanish coins! Change a card that a spectator is holding in their hand! These are just a few of the tricks you’ll learn in Abra-Kid-Abra’s Mind Reading & Other Cool Tricks Camp! You’ll get your own magic box, and new tricks to put in it daily. Ozzie Smith Sports Academy Baseball Camp is for players ages 6 - 16. Campers will learn hitting, pitching, infield & outfield play, base running, run-downs, cut-offs, and sliding. Paul Zarky Metro Strikers Summer Soccer Camp for ages 4-12 is a fun camp designed to teach fundamentals of the game through game-play, game situations, side-games and drills. With a focus on fast footwork, cover moves, passing and receiving, players are encouraged to achieve their highest level of play. Camp is Monday-Thursday, 9-11:15am, under the direction of Paul Zarky, former professional soccer player & collegiate All-American. Please bring your own appropriate size soccer ball.
