King said he thought he was going to be playing basketball in college, but MRH football and track coach Brandon Gregory changed his mind. King, a wide receiver, has classmate Nick Coulter to thank for the opportunity. Coulter showed a William Penn coach a YouTube highlight video of King, and the university gave him a call.

“So ever since that day they’ve been calling me and wanting me to come,” King said. He said he’ll spend the summer weight training and running.

“Based off their hard work and their performances, and coming from a winning program, actually schools came out and found them,” Gregory said. He said Hutchinson is where he played junior college football.
