Maplewood Richmond Heights Boys Take Close Second at Skippy Keefer Relays

The Blue Devils won three relays Saturday in the meet at John Burroughs.

The boys track team didn't have some of its seniors during the Skippy Keefer Relays on Saturday at , which made the difference between winning and second place, coach Brandon Gregory said. MRH finished with 73 points, four points behind winner Lutheran South's 77.5 points.

The seniors were out because they were taking the ACT test. Considering the size of many of the schools there, the Blue Devils still competed well, Gregory said.

Seniors Bobby Norful, Tony King, Cortez Cooper and Marcus Taylor won the 4x100 with a 42.9. Seniors Nick Coulter, Eric Liska, Norful and Taylor won the 4x200 in 1:28.5, and Liska, Coulter, Taylor and sophomore Lawrence Hogue won the 4x400 in 3:28.11.
