Clayton Greyhounds Wallop Affton Cougars, 49-2

Tyler Walker, a junior, scored three touchdowns in a blowout win for Clayton over Affton.

The got off to a quick start Friday night at Gay Field against Suburban East Conference rival and never let up, scoring early and often in a 49-2 victory for the home team.

Tyler Walker, a junior, had three touchdowns for the Greyhounds, who led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter, and 35-0 at halftime, before grabbing an eventual 49-0 lead early in the fourth.

Affton, whose roster features mostly underclassmen and has just six seniors, got its only points of the night in the final minutes of regulation when several Cougar defenders tackled a Clayton ballcarrier in his own endzone for a safety.
