PEREGRINE BABY FALCON OVERLOOKING CLAYTON SKYLINE. Since two adults started nesting on the roof at 8000 Maryland Avenue (DHR International Building) in 2011, they have had babies each Spring. This year just one egg hatched; last year there were three babies. One of the baby Falcons born in 2011 was spotted last year in southwest Indiana by a professional photographer who was able to read the numbers on the Falcons's ID band (placed by the Wild Bird Sanctuary). Falcons are the fastest member of the Animal Kingdom reaching speeds of over 200 miles per hour during their high speed dives. Fastest speed recorded is 242 mph.
