'Shadow Children' Author Haddix Visits MRH Elementary School

Award-winning children's author Margaret Peterson Haddix visited on Sept. 23 for a reading and book-signing.
The writer of books such as Running Out of Time and The Shadow Children series spoke to fourth, fifth and sixth graders in the school's gym, stated Kris Ricks, MRH Elementary School web content manager, in an email.
The students had many questions.
"I was very impressed with their curiosity about how to become a writer and what her personal experience has been deciding what to write about and then getting published," Ricks stated. "They were extremely attentive to her answers."
