Clayton Prevails Over Jennings, Rain in 1st Round District Game

The favored Clayton football team came through strong in the second half.

After holding Jenning's on the goal line with seconds on the clock in the first half, Clayton went on to win the game in blowing rain 45-22.

The Greyhounds goal line stand held the score to a 19-14 Clayton lead at the half.

Jennings finishes its season at 2-7. No. 2 seed, Clayton, improves to 7-3. The Greyhounds will go on to play on Wednesday, Oct. 31 in the next round, against the winner of tomorrow's Gateway (5-3) vs. St. Charles West (6-3) game.
