Former Clayton Principal Losos Hired at Confluence Charter Schools

Losos left the Clayton School District in 2012.

Former Clayton High School Principal Louise Losos was named the curriculum resource director for Confluence charter schools Friday, the St. Louis Beacon reports.

Losos resigned from Clayton following the 2012 school year. A statement from the district at the time reads as follows:

"Dr. Louise Losos has resigned as Clayton High School Principal effective June 30, 2012. The District and Dr. Losos had a fundamental dispute concerning the appropriate use of social media. She will remain on a leave of absence for personal reasons for the remainder of the 2011-2012 school year."

Earlier this spring, Losos was named the principal of the Grand Center Arts Academy, but parents at the school protested her hiring.

According to the Beacon report, Losos will serve under the earlier contract she signed to be principal at the academy, for $110,000 a year.

She will serve as the curriculum resource director for Confluence's five charter schools in St. Louis, including the arts academy. To read the full Beacon story, click here.
