Donald Danforth Jr. Annual Lecture

The inaugural lecture features Native American art scholar, curator and author Gaylord Torrence, Merrill Senior Curator of American Indian Art at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City and Professor Emeritus in Fine Arts, Drake University.

Torrence will contrast how history has been recorded by Native Americans and European Americans.

The Saint Louis Art Museum's website states "The Donald Danforth Jr. Annual Lecture on Native American Art honors the legacy of the late Mr. Danforth and his love of Native American culture and the West."
