Dr. Dan Gutchewsky Named Interim Principal at Clayton High School

He will succeed the resigning Dr. Louise Losos and serve as interim leader through the end of the 2012-13 school year.

Dr. Dan Gutchewsky has been named interim principal at (CHS) through the end of the 2012-13 school year, the announced Monday morning. He succeeds .

“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead Clayton High School,” Gutchewsky stated in a news release from the district. “I look forward to leading our community through all of our end-of-the-year events and working next year to ensure that CHS continues to meet the high expectations held by our students, parents and community.”

Gutchewsky has worked in the Clayton district for 11 years, 10 of which have been as an administrator at CHS. He most recently served as associate principal at CHS and has worked as a science teacher at .

He holds a doctorate of educational leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University, a master's of science in educational administration and a bachelor's of science in science education.

"“The Board of Education and I have the highest level of confidence in Dan’s ability to serve Clayton High School’s students, staff and community,” stated Dr. Sharmon Wilkinson, the district's interim superintendent. “He has a strong history of building solid relationships and is committed to our students and their learning.”
