Cyber-Security Degree Coming to Fontbonne

The university will offer the classes beginning in fall 2013.

Fontbonne University will offer a degree in cyber-security starting this fall, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.

The full-time program will train students on how to protect database systems, operating systems and web applications, the Journal reports.

“Because of the critical importance of cyber security in today's world, Fontbonne had to develop a program that truly helped students understand the computer science behind cyber threats,” said Yi Yang, cyber security program director, in a statement from Fontbonne

The only other program of this kind in Missouri is offered through Missouri State University in Springfield.
