Longtime history teacher Samuel Harned joked this month that his words of advice for life are twofold: always lower expectations, and don't do 90 percent of whatever I've done.
He delivered the final lecture in the inaugural Words of Wisdom (WOW) Speaker Series on May 16.
Harned went on to identify 10 pieces of advice—including find your golden age and don't let them take your spirit away—to an audience of students, faculty and community members.
