Clayton Schools' Dottie Barbeau Accepts Rockwood Post

Dr. Dottie Barbeau of the has accepted a position with the , a news update states.

Barbeau will direct the gifted and talented education program at Rockwood, the Clayton district announced last week. She has been serving as assistant superintendent of teaching and learning in Clayton.

"My deep passion for gifted education makes it especially exciting to have the opportunity to return to Rockwood to serve the gifted community and to work alongside former colleagues and friends," Barbeau told Clayton staff in an email, according to the district announcement.

"It has been personally rewarding for me to both lead and participate in exemplary and outstanding teaching and learning experiences with administrators, staff and students throughout Clayton. I am proud to have been a part of the District’s work."

A search for Barbeau's successor is expected to begin immediately.
