Clayton Girls Shut Down MRH in Fourth Quarter

The Greyhounds scored 20 to the Blue Devils' 2 in the fourth quarter.

The girls basketball team played a non-conference game Wednesday night at and, thanks to strong fourth quarter, ran away with the game.

That quarter proved to be the devil for the Blue Devils, who scored only two points compared to the Greyhounds’ 20. Clayton prevailed, 57-43.

Clayton juniors Lacei Sams and Amelia Stubblefield paced Clayton with 14 points each. MRH got a game-high 20 points out of senior Antonia Lee.

Clayton’s next game is at 5:30 p.m. Friday against Suburban East League-leader (18-5) at Washington University.

MRH next plays a non-conference game at Elizabeth Academy (3-14) at 5 p.m. Friday.
