Apiculture Accolades: MRH School Takes State Honey Award

Maplewood Richmond Heights Middle School received the award during competition at the Missouri State Fair.

Turns out, victory is sweet. That's because recently received second place in a honey competition at the Missouri State Fair.

The school won the award for a frame of honey it submitted, beekeeper Kay Burbank said. .

The category is identified as "sealed honey, white, brood size frame" on the Missouri State Fair's website, which also lists other St. Louis County award winners.

The fair began Thursday and continues through Sunday.
