A Different Way- Ways to be First

Part Two of A Different Way...Christmas in July

There aren't many opportunities to be first at anything as a 37-year old. My days of winning races or big trophies have mostly past, so I have recently been looking for ways to be first. My first thought was that I could be the first person to paint all of my windows in my house black, but I truly do like to see what the neighborhood has to offer, so I thought that I could be the first person to photograph every house in the city. There are so many unique houses in our area, but then I thought that people would think that I was a creepy guy casing houses. This left me with few other options as people have already put solar panels on their houses, painted their homes an uninviting color, and have left their yards and plants to become jungle-sized. I didn't realize that it would be hard to find a way to be first in the neighborhood. It was late in the afternoon, but I finally figured it out. I would be the first to put up my Christmas lights for the year and turn them on. They look incredible, and I'm sure that the neighborhood is jealous that I was first. Merry Christmas, just a few days early.
