WATCH: Clayton Mascot Petey the Dog Visits City Hall

Clayton's newest elected representative has a white coat with brown spots, floppy ears and a winning smile.

Meet Petey, who won election in November as the city's mascot of the year. The dog and his human companion, Paul Dueker, greeted people at on Tuesday during a meeting of the Board of Aldermen.

Mayor Pro Tem Steve Lichtenfeld read a proclamation in the pup's honor and presented him with several gifts.
