Vilcek and Jacknewitz Join Council; Wright Honored as Police Chief

It happened during the Monday meeting of the Richmond Heights City Council.

Former police chief and resident joined City Council on Monday night after a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall.

Vilcek succeeds Jim Thomson as a District 2 representative, while Jacknewitz succeeds Paul Lore as a District 1 representative. They won election April 3 in uncontested races.

Meanwhile, District 3 Councilwoman and District 4 Councilwoman returned to their respective posts after winning re-election in uncontested races. Mayor also returned for a second term in that role.

Also on Monday, City Manager Amy Hamilton recognized the during a pinning ceremony.
