Sue Shear Institute Survives House Scare

The organization for women in politics is named for the former Clayton resident who brought bi-partisan leadership to Missouri, the St. Louis Jewish Light reported.

Former resident Sue Shear is being remembered for her bi-partisan political leadership after a failed attempt to dismantle an institute named in her honor, the St. Louis Jewish Light reported.

Quoting from the Jewish Light article:

"There can be no doubt that Shear, of blessed memory, was both a strong Democrat and a liberal. But her long and distinguished career was one of the very kind of civility and bi-partisanship that has been sorely lacking in current political discourse at the local, state and national levels."
