Michelle Harris Raises $18K in Clayton Mayoral Bid

Documents show that Ward 2 Alderwoman Michelle Harris raised $18,225 through Feb. 21 in her effort to become the next mayor of Clayton.
That's according to campaign finance reports filed with St. Louis County. About $5,000 in monetary contributions were received in January and most of February, which is the most recent filing period. The rest of the contributions were made before then.
Harris is running against Ward 3 Alderman Alex Berger III and former alderman Harold Sanger.

Michelle Harris' committee has spent about $18,000 this election, with about half of that spending occurring in January and February. More information about campaign contributions for both opponents is available on Patch.
The next round of campaign finance reports will be due on March 25, eight days before the election. The election is set for April 2.
