Lawsuit Targets Clayton-Based RehabCare Group

At issue are claims that the company paid kickbacks to access nursing home patients, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

The federal government claims a company formerly headquartered in Clayton defrauded Medicare and Medicaid, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Quoting from the Post-Dispatch article:

"According to a civil lawsuit transferred … to U.S. District Court in St. Louis, Clayton-based RehabCare (Group) began making payments in 2006 to induce a Missouri nursing home chain to grant RehabCare a contract to provide therapy services."
