Inspection Reports: Richmond Heights Pools Get Examined

Each pool in Clayton and Richmond Heights is regularly inspected by St. Louis County Department of Health officials. How did your favorite pool fare?

Summer is heating up, which means more people are headed to the pools in Clayton and Richmond Heights.

Several pools were inspected by the St. Louis County Health Department in Clayton and Richmond Heights this summer. Patch examined those inspection reports and compiled information using publicly-available data published to the health department's website. 

Unless otherwise noted, all Richmond Heights inspections were conducted on a routine basis. A published Thursday.

Richmond Heights

pool, 6300 Clayton Road
Inspection date: April 11
Comments: Facility needs a new float rope; missing a hook on one end.

outdoor pool, 8011 Galleria Parkway
Inspection date: May 29
Comments: Skimmer not properly installed/used. Deck chairs on west side of pool not 5 feet from pool edge. No warning sign stating, "Notify the manager or operator on duty of main drain is not visible." Observed no sign stating, "To register a complaint about the condition of this pool, contact Saint Louis County at (314) 615-8900." Observed no bathing load sign. No shepherds crook with at least a 12-inch minimum length mounted in a conspicuous place.
