UPDATE: Hadley Meeting Canceled; Menards Progress a Factor

Taxpayer financing for projects planned in the neighborhood was to have been discussed at Richmond Heights City Hall.

A meeting planned Wednesday about redevelopment of the Hadley Township neighborhood in has been canceled, City Manager Amy Hamilton said.

The city decided to cancel the meeting of the Richmond Heights Tax Increment Financing Commission late last week, Hamilton said. That's because Menards is not as far along with its development work as had been expected, she said.

The commission will reconvene later this summer once more information is available. No date has been set for that meeting.

At that time, commission members will consider whether to amend the redevelopment plan for the area by changing its scope and increasing the amount of available taxpayer financing.
