Hadley Township Development Proposals Sought in Richmond Heights

The city will consider offers to develop all or part of the 40-acre section of land along part of Hanley Road.

Effective Monday, is seeking developers' proposals for a stretch of land along the Hanley Road corridor. The city made the announcement in a news release.

The request for proposals will remain open until 4 p.m. Feb. 23. Afterward, city officials will have the option of approving projects at least 10 acres in size from one or more developers .

The area is composed of approximately 40 acres and is bordered by Dale Avenue to the north; Hampton Creek and Berkley Avenue to the east; West Bruno Avenue on the south; and Hanley Road on the west.

It represents a scaled-down version of the Hadley Township Redevelopment Area. Multiple companies have . In August, the Richmond Heights City Council voted to in an effort to make it more attractive to prospective developers.

“The city has worked diligently with residents and developers to redevelop this area,” City Manager Amy Hamilton stated in the release. “The city will continue to strive to balance market interests, the needs of Hadley Township residents and the city’s continued growth and viability overall as the RFP process moves forward.”

Development already is underway on another nearby plot of land. adjacent to community center, just north of the redevelopment area.
