Dynasty Buffet Restaurant Planned in Richmond Heights

A new restaurant will offer Chinese and Japanese cuisine on Clayton Road in , Building and Zoning Commissioner Dave Reary said.

The owner of Dynasty Buffet Restaurant will seek an operating permit Thursday night during a meeting of the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. The business is expected to open in September or October and will be located at 6710 Clayton Rd., just west of the movie theater and across the street from .

Sushi will be among the offerings at the new business, Reary said. It's not clear whether the restaurateur owns additional eateries.

The shared parking lot behind the building will be able to handle increased traffic from the restaurant, said Reary, referencing information from a recent Crawford Bunte Brammeier study.

Outback Steakhouse previously operated at the location, though the space has been vacant about five years.
