County Owes Damages to Trash Haulers, Court Says

The case involves districts set up for unincorporated parts of St. Louis County, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

A new hearing is planned to determine how much St. Louis County must pay in damages to three trash haulers, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Quoting from the Post-Dispatch article:

"The Missouri Supreme Court upheld on Tuesday a 2010 St. Louis County Circuit Court ruling that the county violated state law when it failed to give three waste haulers two years' notice before setting up trash districts."

The districts serve unincorporated parts of the county.
