County Council Preview: Hanley Road Jughandle Project

The transfer of several thousand square feet of land to Richmond Heights is one of the items on the agenda at the Tuesday meeting of the St. Louis County Council.

Several pieces of legislation with ties to Clayton and Richmond Heights are scheduled for discussion at Tuesday's St. Louis County Council meeting, an agenda for the meeting states. A copy of the full agenda is attached to this article.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the .

  • The County Council will consider whether to accept and appropriate a St. Louis County court-system grant worth $140,000 to be used toward fire-alarm enhancements at the in Clayton. The county's public works department is working on the project.


BILLS TO BE PERFECTED

  • Bill 170, 2011 asks whether St. Louis County should be allowed to receive approximately 3,790 square feet of land from the state of Missouri and transfer it to Richmond Heights through a process of quitclaim deeds. The transfer would be a component of the Hanley Road Jughandle project, aimed at improving drivers' access to westbound Eager Road, northbound Hanley Road and Highway 40.

  • Bill No. 157, 2011 asks whether St. Louis County should be allowed to accept a grant of up to $2,000 benefiting the domestic violence program at the in Clayton. The grant comes from the Office of State Courts Administrator.
