Clayton Unveils New Tool to Gather Public Input

The City of Clayton hopes to connect with residents interested in planning its future through a new website.

The City of Clayton has launched a new website aimed at collecting public input, ideas and suggestions as part of its "C the Future" planning process.

The site, ClaytonConnects, allows visitors to upload feedback on a vision statement and 13 key performance areas identified by a group of city stakeholders at a June conference. Other topics citizens can comment on include desierable neighborhoods and arts and culture.

"Residents can use the website to propose ideas, provide feedback and learn about the C the Future process,” stated Clayton Mayor Linda Goldstein in a press release announcing the website. “Posts to the site, which will be reviewed by the steering committee, will help guide long and short term action plans for Clayton’s future.”

The goal of the planning process is to gather input from a wide variety of perspectives in the community and formulate a list of priorities to guide city leaders going forward. Citizens can learn more about the process by visiting the C the Future page on the city's website.

ClaytonConnects was developed by MindMixer, which has implemented similar sites for cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tampa and Fort Worth, Texas.
