Clayton Sewer Upgrades Planned Near Oak Knoll Park

A neighborhood meeting about the project is planned later this month, the Claverach Park Neighborhood Association reported on its website.

A construction project planned in 's and surrounding neighborhoods will add nearly 2,300 feet of new sanitary- and storm-sewer lines.

The work by the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District—generally happening between Ridgemoor Drive and Southmoor Drive—also will include upgrades to manholes and the creation of a detention basin in the park, a letter posted to the Claverach Park Neighborhood Organization website states.

Residents can learn more about the project at 7 p.m. June 21 at . There, attendees will be able to review the proposal, visit with representatives of MSD and its consultant firm, and ask questions.

Easement acquisition is set to begin in June 2013, according to an MSD document mailed to residents. Construction would begin in October of that year and wrap up in April 2014.

Bernardin, Lochmueller & Associates is designing the improvements.
