Crime Among Topics Planned at Clayton Gardens Meeting

Representatives of the Clayton Police Department and two aldermen also will attend the Thursday meeting for residents of the subdivision, Community Services Officer Korey Golcynski said.

Residents of the Clayton Gardens subdivision are invited to bring questions about crime to an informal meeting Thursday with Clayton police.

The gathering will happen at 7 p.m. at , said Community Services Officer Korey Golcynski, who will be among the attendees. Chief Tom Byrne of the and two members of the Clayton Board of Aldermen also will be present.

While some burglaries happened in the Clayton Gardens area in the fall, no recent incidents prompted police to hold a meeting this month. Instead, Clayton police meet each spring with residents in subdivisions throughout the city to visit, address concerns and answer questions, Golcynski said.

At the heart of the conversation is the message "we're still here," he said.

More information about Thursday's meeting is available by calling Golcynski at 314-290-8424 or by emailing him at kgolcynski@ci.clayton.mo.us.
