Aldermen Agenda: Clayton on the Park Development Proposed

On Tuesday, the Clayton Board of Aldermen will consider whether to rezone the vacant Clayton on the Park building to make way for a rental apartment building.

Development at the vacant Clayton on the Park building and city regulations for alternative energy are among items set for discussion Tuesday by the Clayton Board of Aldermen.

A discussion session is planned at 6:15 p.m. at , followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m.

REGULAR MEETING (7 P.M.)

  • Hold a public hearing and review ordinances regarding whether to rezone the vacant Clayton on the Park building, 8025 Bonhomme Ave., to accommodate a proposed rental apartment building.
  • Hold a public hearing to consider whether to approve a conditional use permit for Vatterott Court Reporting Institute, which would be located on the fourth floor of 7730 Carondelet Ave.
  • Consider whether to adopt a Clayton Complete Streets Policy. "It is a natural progression that the city would now seek to adopt an all-encompassing policy that our streets should work for everyone, of all ages and abilities, regardless of how they travel," a memo from City Manager Craig Owens to Mayor Linda Goldstein and the aldermen states.
  • Consider whether to modify the city's contract with Deluca Plumbing for plumbing work at 10 S. Brentwood Blvd., the future home of the . The proposed changes are the result of unforeseen expenses discovered upon further inspection of the building, a city memo states.
  • Consider whether to approve a resolution supporting Proposition S, a for a new and renovations in Clayton.
